Curia Henricus V a.s.b.l. is a Living History association based in Luxembourg but with members in Germany, France, Belgium and Luxembourg.
We are trying to display the administratif council of Henri V. Count of Luxembourg in the middle of the 13th century, more specifically after the siege of Namur in 1256. A period of change, social and economic rise for the County of Luxembourg.
One of our main goals is organise events that will bring together high quality historical living history associations from all over Europe in order to give an insight into the curia (court) of a count in the middle of the 13th century.
This also leads to our name: "Curia Henricus V" is latin and means " The court of Henri V".
If you want to get to know our members a little better and learn about our concept.
To achieve historical accuracy, research is key.
We base our work closely on primary sources, such as texts, statues, archeologic artifacts and much more.
As important are also secondary sources. Books, essays and theses written by historians and specialists.
Some impressions of events we organised and participated in over the last few years!
